This program covers both glorious and dark facets of Russian history and is supposed to provide new information for meditations about the past. |
1 Day Arrival in Moscow. Transfer Sheremetyevo-2 airport - hotel, accommodation. Dinner. First glimpse at Moscow, excursion to Moscow Metro.
2 Day Breakfast. City coach tour "Moscow - ancient and modern", including the major sights of the city: the Red Square and the Kremlin, Cathedral of Christ the Savior, New Arbat, the White House, Kutuzovskiy Prospect and the Triumphal Arch, Vorobyovy Gory (Vorobyov Hills), the Moscow State University, Poklonnaya Gora (Hill). In the afternoon - the excursion "Threatening weapon. Pages of history", including visits to exceptional museums - Military History Museum of Armored Forces (Kubinka, Moscow Region), containing about 300 armed vehicles from many countries of the world, including the unique collection of tanks from fascist Germany: there are more of them here than in all the countries of the world. Dinner. Evening optional program (for example, a visit to Moscow Circus).
3 Day Breakfast. Walking tour to the Kremlin "The ancient heart of Moscow" including the visits to the Cathedral Square, Tsar-Cannon and Tsar-Bell, Ivan-the-Great Bell-Tower and one of the cathedrals. In the afternoon - the excursion "History of Russian Cosmonautics", including the visit to Russian Space Operations Center (Korolev, Moscow Region) and Korolyov Air Space Museum "Energia" - the largest Russian museum of unique space ships that returned from the space. Dinner. Optional evening program (for example, a visit to the Bolshoy Theatre).
4 Day The day of optional excursions: Breakfast. Excursion to the New-Maiden (Novodevichiy) Convent including the visit to Novodevichiy cemetery. In the afternoon - the excursion "The World and the Soviet secret services - from opposition to interaction" including the visit to the State Security Committee - Federal Security Service. Federal Frontier Service Museum. Dinner.
